He was born in the Philadelphian neighborhood of Wynnefield, and he was raised Baptist, leading him to attend religious schools as a young child. Will often mentions how his parents were very loving but strict in order to keep their son protected. 

Caroline was incredibly supportive of her son and was a loving mother, and she built her career around the education system. She had become a part of the school board administration and spent several years as a school secretary; Caroline continues to live in Philadelphia and has been in the area since before her kids were born. 

The most traumatic event that Will's family went through was when his father developed a severe case of alcohol addiction, and he ended up divorcing Caroline in 2000. Sixteen years following the divorce, Will's dad died from the addiction.

Getting the main role in the sitcom, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air would change Will's life and career forever, and he would be internationally known as an actor after this. This sitcom was also extraordinarily successful, for it ran for six seasons on NBC. 

This American sitcom aired from 1990 to 1996 for six seasons, and in between filming, Will also boosted his acting career more as he took on movie roles. Additionally, Will's main costars in this show were Alfonso Ribeiro, Tatyana Ali, James Avery, and Karyn Parsons. 

The year that Will and Sheree got married, Will had become a father for the first time when his son, Trey Smith, was born, and he was married to Sheree until 1995. 

Will was ecstatic to become a father and it filled his world with so much love, and he went on to have two more children with his future wife. Even though Sheree and Will did not work out romantically, they still continue to be friends and excellent co-parents. 

The Fresh Prince and DJ Jazzy Jeff had taken the world by storm, sold millions of records, made thousands of dollars, and created a rap legacy all by the time Will had reached his mid-20s. Again, he was creating a successful career and still had a prosperous acting career ahead of him. 

This film featuring Will Smith premiered in 1993, and it was the start of Will's acting career; despite having some movies that flopped, he is overall an actor that is in high demand and has amazing skill when it comes to portraying characters. Additionally, Made In America grossed $104.9 million at the box office. 

In Six Degrees Of Separation, Donald Sutherland, Will Smith, and Stockard Channing tell the story of a man (played by Will) who randomly appears on the steps of two wealthy art dealers (Donald and Stockard) with fatal injuries. The story takes a turn when the art dealers find out that the man deceived his way into their home and their lives. 

Even though The Fresh Prince and DJ Jazzy Jeff produced no more than five albums, they would still perform for crowds and work personally together in the studio as artists. In 1995, Will had started his family, so he went where the money was, acting. 

DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince continue to be a part of the rap community even after their insane duo had ended, and both went on to have rap careers apart from one another after winning multiple accolades during their active years. 

Despite Will Smith starring in other movies during the filming of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, he was still mostly accredited to this sitcom, and it led to his international fame. Without his role in this sitcom, Will would have never gotten such a spectacular jumpstart on his career.

The first Men In Black film premiered in 1997, and Will Smith's primary costar was Tommy Lee Jones, who played Agent K. This movie is about an NYPD detective who joins the police force, and although it's out of the ordinary; Will and Tommy's characters are sent out to handle extraterrestrial affairs and crime.

This 1999 film is about an inventor who wants to assassinate the American president, and how a U.S. Marshal (Kevin Kline) and Civil War hero (Will Smith) are sent out to arrest the murderer and bring justice to the situation. Overall, this film is considered a flop. 

This film tells a captivating story from the perspective of the internationally loved fighter, Muhammad Ali, played by Will Smith. Some of Smith's costars in this historical drama include Jamie Foxx, Jada Pinkett Smith, Jon Voight, and Michael Michele. 

This science fiction action movie also stars Bridget Moynahan, Alan Tudyk, and Bruce Greenwood alongside Will Smith. This film was an instant success at the box office, and it grossed over $120 million when it premiered; some of this success was attributed to the story being a famous series of short stories published in the 1940s and 50s. 

Will had overcome countless obstacles in his life up until this point, but he continued to see the positive in life, especially as he built a family with his wife Jada and their children. No matter what, Will always pursues his talents, whether it be making music, movies, or being a family man.  

Will fell in love all over again with Jada in the 90s, and after a divorce with Sheree, the two were able to be together once and for all, and they both openly say that they are one another's soul mates. Again, their first son together, Jaden, was born in 1997, and their daughter, Willow, was born in 2000. 

Right as Will and Jada got married, they were expecting their first child together, Jaden, who was soon followed by their daughter, Willow. The two had raised their children in the entertainment industry, and soon they were actors and artists themselves at a young age. 

The Pursuit of Happyness grossed $27 million when it premiered, but the reason it is monumental to Will's life is that it was the first time that he acted in a film with one of his children. The making of this movie also illustrated that Will has talented children, allowing them to pursue any career that they wish. 

In I Am Legend, Will's character roams the streets of New York City battling human-hungry mutants that were the result of the man-made disaster. This film was extremely popular, for it made over $585 million when it premiered, and some of the other actors include Alice Braga and Charlie Tahan. 

Will certainly knew he was famous at this point because it is every actor's dream to play a superhero! At this point in his career, Will had portrayed countless types of characters, displaying immense skill and showing the world how his talent has developed over the years. 

Will plays Ben, a man who continuously performs kind acts due to a tragedy that he caused in his past, and he develops a mission to be an organ donor, which is when he meets Emily. In the movie, Emily was in critical condition, and as Ben sets out to save her, he falls in love with her. 

One of these movies, made in 2015, was Concussion, which earned over $48 million when it premiered. In this film, Will portrays a forensic pathologist who brings awareness to head injuries (CTE) that are caused by playing football after finding trauma in a deceased NFL player's brain. 

In 2016, Will Smith got one of the main roles in the movie Suicide Squad, which only skyrocketed him higher into fame seeing that it was extremely anticipated by the public. Will gave an action-packed performance full of emotion as the character Deadshot, and the film grossed over $764 million when it premiered. 

Once Will Smith had implemented technology into his life, he was better able to put himself out in the world, express himself, and promote himself professionally, all making a better life for himself. Not to mention, we are all happy to see a new post from The Fresh Prince!

By the time Will Smith was in his 40s, he had steady work, was wanted all across the globe, established a legacy, and built a beautiful family, all filled with love and support. Will Smith has truly come from the bottom and made his way all the way to the top!

Will Smith seems to never give up on improving himself and his life, which he most likely learned from his parents, particularly his mother, throughout his life. Thankfully, Will is able to better improve himself as well thanks to the support of his family and his fans. 

This film also has a sci-fi element to it because it is set in a world where elves, orcs, and fairies coexist with humans. The main characters in this film are police officers (one an orc, the other a human) who must work together to protect a young female elf and a relic that was thought to be lost, which, in the wrong hands, could destroy everything.

Especially as his children got older, the Smith family had become popular in the media and across the internet as they publicized their lives. Jada even went as far as to create a family podcast, which she admits has helped the family patch over some household issues. 

This movie was highly anticipated, and it grossed over $1 billion when it first premiered, which is a tremendous amount! As far as this film making massive amounts of money, it is only the 41st movie ever made to reach over $1 billion in profits. 

Will Smith had won some of his first accolades because of his duo with DJ Jazzy Jeff, and we don't see these rappers' friendship ending any time soon! They have been there for each other through everything, and Jazzy Jeff is definitely one of Will's top supporters. 

Will Smith is generally a positive person with an understanding perspective on life, yet like all humans, he has had his fair share of mental struggles, especially with becoming famous at a young age and managing an immense, decades-long career. 

Especially being in the world of comedy, Will Smith knows how to have fun and a good time, leading him to be a positive influence on the world. Not to mention he has a contagious smile and laugh that could cheer anyone up!

Will Smith's dad was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a well-established refrigeration engineer, so he did prove to be a hard-working role model for Will growing up. Unfortunately, Will's dad passed away in 2016 from cancer. 

Will and his mom continue to have a phenomenal mother and son relationship despite Caroline living in Philadelphia, but they see one another regularly. Caroline has always shown powerful love toward her children and does so without hesitation. 

As of 2022, Will's children are now teenagers and young adults, and other than having some obstacles, they are altogether a loving and supporting family. His children are currently pursuing careers in the entertainment industry, and they are publicly active with their fans.
